Hey guys, i have a project im currently building and was trying to figure out what color i wanted to end up painting it. i came across a really nice metallic orange but i havent been able to refrence back to any paint code, or brand except a "Vbrant Thang" refence which i havent been able to find anything on... the paint definitely seems to be 3 stages, but anyone have an idea of what it is or where i can find it? Thanks

 

Its probably base metallic, candy and clear. If thats what you were thinking with 3-stage.

Do you have a good body shop?

 

theres plenty around. none of them can get me close to it, they keep saying "without the paint code i cant help you."

I think he was referring to the paint shops. Any good painter can look at a color and visualize it on a pallet and tell u what color it is. You may to go to a custom shop like a low rider or hotrod shop. Those places always have great painters and will get u in the right direction but it will be pricey.

 

Yea I know. I've seen other cars with a similar paint job, but they seemed lighter. They weren't as good. I haven't been able to come across any other paint like this which tells me it's prob a custom paint job... But even custom can be matched, it might not be perfect but it can be pretty close. If I'm able to get a spray out of it it'd be perfect. But I still need a code or a place to get that paint.

awesome man, thanks alot. atleast i have something to guide myself into. ill try to get to a shop when i have some free time and see if i have any results.
