what lense and camera? how do they come out so crisp! I have a canon t2i with the OEM kit lenses.. is that holding me back from shots like these?

Selling because i'm 22 and building a new house within the next year, saving like crazy and our cops are trying to impound cars like this and i'm one ticket away from loosing my licence/career.. the car had to go. It was good to me. Don't know lenses but pretty sure it was shot with a nikon d7000... does that make sence.. i'm not a photography guy at all. Ill ask. thanks for the compliments though!
