The sub enclosure is in there with velcro on the back side (sounds cheesy but it works really well.. (we are talking about the heavy duty stuff!!!) So the enclosure just pops out to fill it up... on the left side you can still hide stuff behind the enclosure because there is a big opening! Stuff like, cleaning supplies or owners manuals etc.. I have the enclosures in there with dumbells in them to see i they shift during hard driving. They don't move at all!

evoviiiguy,

for something like your first design, how much would it cost? and also, any problems with rattling? i really don't want to go through dynamat with the car.. i was thinking of a single 10w7...

you've obviously got experience at this.. how long've you been doing this? is this your profession? just a hobby?

youll want to dynamat the top of the trunk anyway, and behind the spots of any subs, otherwise it WILL rattle no matter what you do. plus the dynamant will enhance the sound inside.

Nice, EvoVIIIGuy.

I'm looking to build an enclosure for my 10" L7 (don't have an amp yet) that's easily removable for track days .

nice choice in sub!

i like it simple... no fuss, no muss.. no worries..

and as for dynamat, i realize sound quality will be compromised without the stuff.. but i dont' knwo if i want to add that much weight to the car... it's heavy enough already... maybe if i got some weight saving stuff... liek a cf hood, lighter turbo-back exhaust... lighter rims... maybe then i wouldn't mind so much.. but ... i'll have to definately think hard on it. dynamating my civic was such a *****.

Thanks, at the time it was either go with a really nice sub and basic enclosure or go with cheaper subs and an entire fiberglass enclosure. As you can see I picked the nice sub.....however, the box is still 1.5 inches thick on the sides with a 2 inch thick face. The quality is unmatched to any other subwoofer.
