Does anyone know for a fact the 7/8/9 wings/interchangeable or holes line up?

Thanks in advance!

If you mean the trunk mounting holes, the answer is yes, well sort of...The stock Evo 8 wing'ed trunk comes drilled with 4 holes drilled(2 per side). The Evo 7 wing has a base that requires 3 mounting holes per side(6 total). The 7 wing uses the 8's existing outer bolt holes, but to finish the install you will need To drill 2 more bolt holes into your trunk. Its actually very easy to mark and drill. Before you make your drill marks, It does help to have a friend help you lower the wing down and line things up. Weather stripping is also not needed because the 7 base has a rubber foam around the bolt area to make a good seal. Here are some pics of my car/spoiler for reference. Good luck

This is the new stud

So you're saying that the two new holes (I'm assuming one on each side) are to mount the inside edges of the E7 wing on, correct?

If I was to drill those holes and then put the E8 wing back on I would have two visible holes, correct?

So...what if I just ripped out those two inside screws from the E7 wing and put double sided tape or something to hold the inside edges of the wing onto the boot lid?

Anything wrong with this idea?

I guess that might work. There is a chance that you might see some gaps depending on how strong the double sided tape is...good luck
