i chopped it a couple months ago and put some white spray paint down so it didnt look like total crap. i didnt want to spend $100 on the evo 9 grille so i ran without one for a few months.

i decided to put the rear emblem onto the evo 8 grill to see if it would look ok and it worked pretty well. i also sprayed some plasti-dip on the silver a/c tube and onto the top of my intercooler and it really cleaned up the look of the nose chop. anyways here are the pics!

Looks great! I'm really glad you installed a free floating emblem after the chop. A lot of guys on here just leave an open space and it looks like something missing imho.

unfortunately it is a little rigged up since the 8 grill is missing a big square cut out for the ugly triangle that was removed. so i basically took some high strength rtv silicone and cut out a plate that has drilled holes and sandwhiched the grill between the top diamond and the plate. its surprisingly strong and im not worried about it falling off, but it is ghetto rigged lol.
