Evolution Transformation

Hi guys! My name is Ashton and i'm from Singapore! I got my Evolution 9 on Feb 2012 and as of that time, the Evolution has only 4 years of lifespan left.
Singapore has a pretty ridickulous law for every car owners. Every car that's bought brand new has only a 10 year lifespan and it's called the COE. And basically COE costs about SGD$80000 for 10 years and that's excluding the price of the car!

The first 2 pictures shows how did the car looked like when I first got it.

The next 3 is where i started transforming the ride.. due to some major pain in the *** regulations in my small little 'fine' country.
I got rid of the carbon bonnet and boot and went for the stock ones to reduce the attention from the Enforcers!
Swapped the Advan RS for Rotas :/

The last stretch of photos here shows the current state of my Evolution!

Sprayed an outer coat of Grigio Telesto but I actually mixed it a lil darker.
Tidied up my dirty engine bay a little for the most recent Tokyo Auto Salon Singapore.
There are still alot of things I've planned for my little love.

Current Spec

Performance

Stock Block and head.
Stock Manifold and turbo outlet.
25G Hybrid Turbo ( Stock Housing )
3inch downpipe and test pipe. ( Considered Illegal and the fine can go up to SGD$1000 )
Daily driven Apexi N1 with double resonator.
HKS Fuel Rail with SARD 800CC Injectors.
Autronic SM4.
Blitz ID3 Boost controller.
Blitz Intercooler with custom piping + HKS BOV.
Custom Battery Tray.
G-Force Coilover ( Spring Rate 12:12 )

Exterior aka how-vain-can-I-go

Grigio Telesto Exterior
Rota Fighter +15mm spacers all round with 255/40/17 (not sure what's the offset)
Ralliart Front Lip.
Varis Fender Add on.
Damd side and rear extensions.
Varis Bootlid.
APR GT Side Mirrors.
Custom painted Valve Cover, Fuse Box Cover, Manifold Cover to Porsche R22.
TOMEI Oil Cap and Ignition Cable Cover.

Interior aka Daily Cockpit

Bride Vios Japan.
Sparco R325.
Custom color coded center console.
Custom 'bomb-ed' door areas.
5x Defi BF Amber Gauges.

* Pictures of the bomb-ed door areas and center console will come soon if requested. :/

These are all I can think of.. for now.

1_evo8_1 : when the time is up, i got to either scrap the car to the local scrapyard OR pay another sum of money to renew the COE. The link below shows the exact amount of COE right now.

http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/1m/coe/coeDetail.html

manolo2011 : thank you thank you. my advans were in quite a bad condition. plenty of kurb rash and its in chrome, i dint wanna sprayed over the chrome. my friend wanted the advans and I was also looking for another set of rims at that point of time, so yea i took the plunge :/
im currently looking at a set of CE28N 18x9.5 +15.. wonder whether it will rub all round.

That COE regulation is the craziest thing I've ever heard of! What exactly is the point of it? Trying to limit the number of cars on the island?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_of_Entitlement

To the Government, COE is to sort of control the amount of Vehicles on the road.. but for us.. It's for them to suck more money from us. HAHAHA.

I don't think i'll be scrapping the car.. Don't think so but there are still chances of me scrapping it. Actually planning a build by the end of this year if I change my job.

Thinking about a 2.2stroker with BC 288 cams + meth injection.. Still thinking. Hahaha.

CaliCruiser559 , there are still a handful of them lying around. Cars that are considered old and seen mostly are the Civics EG/EK. Only have 1 Authentic EF9 in Singapore.

Cars that are authentic and rare to see in Singapore are those along the lines of NSX,R34,RX7,GC8,DC2. I'm more towards to JDM side so those beemer and merc I got no idea.

Evo 5 and 6 can be spotted during most of our meetups.
