Diesel, most factory paint on vehicles is paper thing, especially on Mitsubishi/Honda and other imported vehicles. They paint a car cheap enough so that the paint sticks and will last the length of the time the person has the vehicle.

Even if you had thick paint you can still get insane swirl marks. Swirl marks are not caused by thick paint. Get some nice wax(I reccomend Zymol, i use it all the time and love it), or better yet, try and locate diamond polish, it works EXTREMELY well for swirl marks. Buff at low speeds, in one direction, its when you go back n the opposite direction you create a worse mess.

DONT BUFF YOUR PAINT OFF!

Dude use 100% cotton towels, that might be your problem. Any other materila other than cotton and microfiber damages all paint and cause swirel marks.

Just my .02, but swirl marks a gonna show up, live with it. Waxes and such, even the best, will simply mask the swirls in certain light. But almost everyone will be able to see swirl marks on any color paint in direct sunlight.

i plan on having swirl marks, but it'll be cleaned etc. i'm not buying the car because of the paint, lets face it...most bmw's and mercedes have much better paint. the car is bought to be driven, so unless she is a garage queen there will be imperfections. and than the jealous people that ruin everyone elses fun. paint is like wearing white shoes, you) guaranteed to get them scuffed up and dirty. zaino has worked well, so has mothers. but i will watch this thread and see what has worked best (i think im getting my red one this or next week_
