I just did a nose chop to my extra evo 8 bumper and I'm tryin to find info on weather a evo 9 front upper grill will bolt in cause the 8 one isn't a full mesh piece and I want oem because of the bumper support from the grill. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks!

 

If you took the EVO 8/9 Intercooler mesh you could make what you need in probably 20 minutes...

Just an idea if you wanted to take the mesh off your current bumper (Assuming its still there)

It bolts in but its not worth spending 125 bucks on the evo 9 mesh. Just take a piece of ur mesh off ur front bumper and cut it to fit on the 8 nose mesh. U can weld it if u want.

 

Evo 9 grill does not fit an 8 bumper. Recently nose chopped mine and bought a new OEM 9 grill and it didn't fit.

 

Must be something, some of you guys are doing, cause it fits mine just fine , no issues

How? What did you do to make it fit because it definitely isnt a direct swap.

 

from what i understand the IX grill is not as deep as the VIII and unless you modify it it won't fit properly.

Im surprised a company hasnt started makin these to sell since nose chops r more n more popular the 8 bumper looks better imo the 9 looks to square with the way the intercooler opening is
