Blue Sports Pedals
Blue Sports Pedals
So am I the only one out there that installed the
factory blue pedals, and now after a few months of driving (sometimes with dirty shoes) the blue color has worn off in several areas?
I wiped them off thinking it was just dirt and the blue is gone.
Anyone else? I guess it is unaviodable.
Anyway to touch that up??

Anodized aluminum is not a very durable material for something like a pedal set. The grit on your shoes acts like sandpaper and just wears away the anodizing over time.

i was thinking about painting it with clear coat before i install it, what do you think? once in awhile i can throw on some waxes to help it protect against the dirt and grit...

if not clearcoat, i guess you just need to clean them here and there... also if your shoes are caked with dirt.. may as well clean it before driving... heres one thing, i thought those pedals are anodized.. doesnt that mean the aluminum is blue even on the inside?
If the pedals were on the vehicle when you bought it, it should be covered by the warranty. At least that is what I remember the Mitsu literature providing in connection with dealer installed Mitsubushi accessories. Maybe ask the dealer for a replacement set. It can't hurt.

i dont think scratches or the usual wear and tear will be covered until warranty, even if the pedals came with the car
