Evo IX MR Headlight RX350 Projector Retrofit

Hello All,

So I have a set of MR headlights opened up, and while I am in here I want to upgrade the projector since I have been told that the stock projector is kind of anemic. I am considering an RX350 globe and lense, I have never seen it done before but the dimensions look pretty close to the stock unit so I don not think fitment would be an issue. My question is the RX350 a good upgrade? The Retrofit Source told me that it was def an upgrade performance wise from stock. If someone has exp with the RX350 globe, where does it sit depth wise in relationship to where the stock unit sits? They are both 3" lensed units so there would be no gap to worry about like a TSX-R globe. Below is the link to the RX350 globe with dimensions, along with the dimensions of the stock Evo IX projector. Experts please weight in!

I'd stick with TSX projectors. we know they fit and are easy to retrofit in. Especially if you've never done it before. If you have experience, you'll probably be fine you might just need some custom work

I think I'm gonna need a piece of flat bar steel to add to the factory bracket, I might pick some up and give it a try

I also want to upgrade my projectors in my IX. Haven't looked into it much at all though. What's a good place to start?

Also, has anyone changed their high-beam reflectors to projectors before? I have seen it, but not sure how hard that is.

Thanks for the input guys, after debating it I think I'm just gonna clean up the mr headlights and use them as is. I'm pretty sure that you could get them to work using a paper template and some flat bar steel.
