I think it's about 7 pounds lighter (10 pounds itself), looks really good on black. Fitment is nearly flawless, nice buy.

Well my cousin has a cf hood on his celica, and in the past year, it has been through winter snows and hot sun in the summer, and even survived a hail storm untouched (poor car has dents all over on the metal though). CF is very durable and should last a long time, even longer with good care.

IMO, a carbon fiber hood (at least one that is styled after the OEM hood) never looks ricey. They offer enhanced functionality - lighter, stronger, and very cool appearance. That, to me, isn't rice.

$625 before shipping and without clearcoat...
i got a clearcoat so that was extra. i think it was 100 or 150 for clearcoat...but you can get a local body shop to do it as well and maybe get a better deal

i want to get one for my black evo, but i have noticed some cars have carbon fiber hoods that fade, i don't want one if it will fade over time. btw, how much lighter is the carbon fiber ove the aluminum stocker?

its only a couple pounds lighter because the aluminum stock hood is already so light. I think its a difference of about 5 pounds
