Like title says looking to have my evo painted and now im thinking on factory color or color change.

My evo is tarmac black i love the color but i have always wanted a white evo just couldn't find one at the time. Also what sparked my interest in changing my color is the fact i can't keep my car clean and no matter what i do im always going to get scratches and swirls marks we all know how black paint is i would have to fight everything to keep it from showing especially when the sun hits it or at night under lighting lmk what some ideas are and opinions. Thanks guys!!

I say go with white, but not the evo wicked or weightless white. you should go with some kind of pearl white. pearl white is sick!

 

I am in the process of doing a color change on my car right now. Going from electric blue to Pearl white. My own little twist on the color too! Ive only got the bay painted now, gonna wait till spring to finish the rest.

I feel ya on keeping the black clean. I used to have a black 8, such a pita. Even my old blue was hard to keep clean considering where I live now in a rural area.

If you do decide to do a color change, do it all! Jambs and bay! Dont skip out on the jambs or bay, it makes a nice paint job look crappy real fast!

Ya i wasn't going to skimp out i was planning to pull the swap clean bay up all bolts are rusty from being a dd especially since the car came from illinois. Jams bay even sunroof is getting stripped if i do paint change. I've just got tired of having it buffed and waxed constantly only to see scratches and swirls it sucks *** thinking about keeping the roof black though so idk i guess i have winter to decide.

I honestly don't get the obsession with electric blue lol. Yes it's nice, but pretty much every car maker has a similar blue out now. To me it's not a color that stands out.

My wife was actually talking to me last night about keeping the car blue, I've already painted the bay pearl white though haha

 

aha i agree there is alot of blues just dont see alot of 8s around here and when you do there black or silver blue and white are just my favorite. I have just always wanted white your bay is done just finish it you'll be happy send some pics keep us updated. Will help me kick myself into gear lol

 

The white is definatelty the better choice. I have a black 8 and i wish i could afford to paint it white.

 

Ya I'm pretty much set on the white now lol only reason i can afford it is my buddy is just starting his buisness body work paint rust repair ext and hes giving me a hell of a deal cause were like family and i can try to get his name out there for him
