rear bumper mod?

has anyone ever thought about cutting the lower section of their bumper out? following the contours of the the exhaust part in the rear bumper. it kind of would look like the jdm rear bumper.

No just no, it would look ridiculous lol. I see what you're thinking but there would be a diffuser missing. I'd imagine it looking like this

What brand is that? Or is that custom? It seems custom due to the fender arch's being matched to the bumper side slats.

the picture of the blue one is ugly, the original poster is talking about cutting the center section only. leaving the side pieces which i have seen done before.

This has been done and is being sold. Rexpeed a dealer on this site sells a diffuser that is functional and you don't need to cut anything:

Thats clearly the unpopular JDM/EURO bumper you're looking at, sold 2003- 2005 cut in half and custom arch.

I think you'll be better off saving up for a JDM rear bumper. If you don't have the right tools to cut the bumper, it's going to like a poor hack job.

I actually really like this. Get rid of the giant parachute that is the rear bumper.

Agreed on the "saving for a jdm rear". All those custom tears just look hacked imo
