I was thinking of fabricating a new plate for a 7" touchscreen where the stock radio and climate controls are. I saw a picture of the jdm evo with the climate controls down below. Anyone think there would be a major issue relocating the climate controls down there? I figure I will probably have to fabricate the box for it, or chop up the current tray.

 

they're cable operated so you'd have to lengthen the 3 cables, or replace them with some custom longer ones. I'm not sure the correct way to go about that.

 

someone on here did move it down to the cubby hole below...so there is some slack...just not much.
