Unhappy thirsty recaro

I was reaching across the drivers seat with a 21oz. cherry coke in my hand. the lid came off and the cup spilled on the seat. not just a little, but every last drop. i did what i could to clean it up with my jacket, but that didnt help much. i went home and soaked as much up as i could with a towel and cleand it with some water. it didnt stain or anything, but it soaked in pretty good. is there any thing i could do to clean it like remove the cloth and wash it. or should i just have it professionaly done? is the cloth on the recaros easy to get off? i did it to the rear seat in my old eclipse and it worked great. just wondering if im the only dumbass to do this or if anyone else has had this experience.

in my last car some lady cut in front of me and I dumped my large mcD's OJ all over my cloth seats. I shop vac'd it for about 20 mins and then used "car seat cleaner" from auto store to get out the sticky. It worked pretty well.

Most of it is likely in the carpets underneath the seat. The liquid probably leaked straight through the porous seat material.

So when you clean the seats, make sure you carpet clean underneath also.

pull the seat and use a heat gun on the lowest setting or a hair dryer.... and next time don't eat or drink in your car.... If it was ment to eat in it would have come with a kitchen table.........

when you get the liquid out, use a steam cleaner on the fabric, but keep it away from the suede.

You should've used a Wet/Dry vac when you got home, it would've been able to suck up most of the shiat right away. Then, use a mild soap and wash cloth to clean to rest from the seta surface. But, now your pretty screwed.

If you got the simoniz system 5 option from your mitsu dealer, just take it to them.....

taken from the contract...

"SYSTEM 5 INTERIOR TRIM, CARPET AND SEATS WARRANTY - WHAT WE COVER
The interior trim, carpet and seats (leather or cloth) of the vehicle treated with SYSTEM 5 INTERIOR PROTECTION will be covered against normal day to day spills from all consumable products such as but not limited to sodas, coffee, milk, fast foods, ice cream, baby food, oil, etc."

i've spilled stuff on my seats in the past, and i've found that no matter how clean you get it on the surface, it eventually comes through again since the foam soaked up so much liquid.
sux, but just clean it as much as possible....
