Hey All

Has anybody ever experimented with fitting evo X sideskirts, original or aftermarket onto a ct9a? or vice versa?

Asking because i really want to get ahold of a pair of varis sideskirts but they only seem available for evo X now.

The evo x wheelbase is 25mm longer than evo 9 etc but wondering if maybe they would still fit. even with slight modifications.

Has anybody else experimented with this or am i going to be the first?

 

You can still purchase the ct9a varis side skirts. It's just a lead time of 5-6 months.

 

Yea i see bulletproof and evasive still list them on their sites from varis but 5 months just isnt realistic. Will be back racing by august.

i got a friend to measure their evo x sideskirt end to end today. Turns out the evo 789 and x sideskirts r exactly the same length. The only difference i can see is where the rear arch meets the x side skirt goes up a bit but we can modify that.

might have to take the plunge and try it.

 

The waiting is part of the of the game when you want these kind of parts. I would probably recommend someone who is well versed in doing fiberglass.
