Ideas on cleaing the brake dust off the calipers?

I clean them everytime I cleam my car. I use a wheels brush with nylon hairs and just scrub away. Power washer is good too, but if you have a chip on your caliper you might end up making it worse.

yeah its pretty easy, just get a wheel brush like corey said and you may not get it PERFECT, but you can get them pretty easily. Plus use some type of wheel cleaner like Eagle One or Meguiars and that will make it even easier.

use brake clean. spray it and u can use lke a air gun to blow off the brake dust.

I would be very careful when cleaning them. Although the paint is decent for high temps. They will turn somewhat brown if used hard. the paint is not very strong. so wash them with a soft towel and lots of soap. If you scratch the paint it will start to flake off.

I just use my hand or a small rag it seems to be quickest way to gt to them. Be careful on the brake cleaner over time it can mess up your paint on the calipers

I second Simple Green. I use it every time I wash the car. Just spray it on (make sure the wheels/brakes are cool), let it sit for a minute or so, then spray off with the hose. I also have a nylon brush I use sometimes but most of the time it's not needed. Simple Green washes the brake dust away just fine on its own.

I use an old toothbrush, bend it backwards a bit and use Simplegreen to clean the wheels and calipers.

As noted above, Simple Green is the stuff you want. It also works well as a cleaner for your engine bay.

i just use a wheel cleaner and then power spray it off.. then i finish up with soap and water.. works very well.

It just never fails that right after I do that, someone on my street will be draining their pool or something and I have to drive through all the water! O'well, I guess I'm just too **** when it comes to my car being clean.
