Great pictures.

Looks like funnn....

Having a tire off the ground will somewhat reduce your traction. Although more weight will be on the other three tires which may more than make up for it.

as Kevo said....lifting a wheel in the corner by no mean you need to tune the suspension. FWD and AWD trend to lift the inside rear wheel in hard corner (mostly in autox). On the road course.....its very common to see RWD to lift the inside front wheel during corner.

I have seen those thing happen all the time

But... Doesn't wheel lift = body roll??? I read this somewhere in Motor Trend or Road and Track.

I run -1.6 all around. That is the most I could get without camber plates. Also 1/2 of the factory spec toe.

I am still undecided about the tire. It looks like the stock tires will last through the season, especially if I mount them inside out mid-season. I realize they are not competitive in stock class, but I am still learning. I heard the RA-1 lasts a bit longer than the Kumho, and only slightly slower. I am not sure how much better it is than the stock advans though. I am also wondering about the new Avon tires.

We should gone with the street tire class at WSCC. If we did, my friend would have gotten 1st and I would have had 3rd or 4th.

I would say the most important thing is tire. Toyo are ok for autox but you want something to heat up faster like Kumho or Hoosiers. I would start with Kumho if you are new to r compound. Hoosier will provide the best dry grip but they are fragile and won't last as long as Kumho.

If you are looking to run in AS, you might want to look into some custom valve Koni(you can contact Truechoice or ground control). I personally don't have any experience with them but they are the ticket for a lot of Stock class runners. But I will definitely consider tire first. I shaved about 1 sec running with r compound at Orchard beach lot. Maybe a little less at other site which doesn't have the flat and smooth surface like Orchard Beach provide.

May I ask what kind of alignment setting you are running because thats pretty critcal. At Orchard beach, I'm running 1/8 toe out in the front and 0 toe in the rear. -3 camber in the front and -1.6 rear. For the course we ran on Sunday, I need even more - camber in the front.

There will be body lean not matter what, A bigger rear anti rollbar will lift the rear tire even higher. A car with less body lean "usually" mean faster steering transection, for example faster salom. But doesn't mean you will keep all 4 tires on the ground in every single corner. I think the biggest reason for our car to lift the rear inner tires during some hard cornnering is the weight distribution (61/39). There are just too much weight in the front.

Turbotaz, I would stick with stock tires at least for a season if you just start out. You will be suprise how much you will learn and understand what the car is doing/ react with street tires. How to drive the car smoother with limited traction. R compound are definitely faster, but it will hide a lot of mistake and its not ideal for learning. The stock advan are amazingly grippy also, call me crazy but I would even go with something with less grip just for learning the car, you will be flying once you have grip (r compounds). Well, thats easier to say than done because everyone wants to be fast..today..right now hahah.
