My DIY EVO 7 Tails
I haven't done any sanding to the lights yet, I'm sure they will shine up a little better afterwards. I'd go at it with some 600 gritt and water. At night the lights are perfectly visible, and the reflector still works fine. The reverse light is actually RED and not pink.
I think they look 100x better than the stock lights, I'm not one to ever go for a visual mod, I tend to stick to performance, but I couldn't stand the lights anymore and I didn't want to waste $400 for a set of EVO7 lights so the $10 worked its magic... and if I ever want a lighter color I can just strip the paint and do it over.

I did the same thing using the same stuff. I did wet sand mine with the 600 and it lightened the color up considerably, but now they are nice and smooth.
I solved the pink reverse light problem by switching the reverse and turn signals. The sockets are the same except for the turn signal has two tabs on it. I just cut the tab off so it looked like the reverse one then plugged them in. Now my reverse lights are white and the turn signals are red.
