Ralliarts and Evo 8 Front Conversions
I'll bite, just because I'm bored at work and these questions are kind of interesting. I think you could probably emulate the look pretty easily by taking the fenders, hood, and lights and bolting them onto your ralliart (assuming that they are the correct color. You might have to do some fabrication work to get them to fit but in terms of the external contours your car would appear like an evo from the b-pillar forward. Maybe you can get an aftermarket bumper and hood to save on cost, but AFAIK the front fenders would have to be mitsubishi parts. And the headlights are about $3000 for the pair. Maybe you can get cheaper RS units.
At least until someone looked at the smaller wheels, and the brakes, and the intercooler. Unless you can find a really cheap source for these parts, it would probably be cheaper to trade in your ralliart for an evo. If you are talking about a powertrain swap as well, then it would certainly be cheaper to trade in. Besides when you'd be done you'd have a car with a very aggressive front end with a back end that doesn't have the flares to match the front, it's kind of an awkward big-headed look and I think people in the know might laugh at you.

this is what i say to all my ignorant friends who think an evo is just a modded lancer... you'd have to spend $15k MINIMUM to turn a lancer into an evo... its basically a different car. different suspensions, more body reinforcements, the tranny is awd, different lights, different spoilers, different steering wheels, different rims, different brakes, different engine block, different piping in the engine bay, intercooler, turbos, different hood, different front end.....i mean seriously i can still give a few others..... imagine how much money you'd have to spend turning a porsche boxster into a 911 twin turbo... i know im exaggerating but im getting the point across to you......

you can go from an OZlancer to a ralliart because the difference isnt huge... a big difference between ralliart to evo is significant, thats why the price difference is almost double.
i havent actually seen the standard lancer bodies close up but now that i did.. i noticed the creases on the bodies are also different.... this crease travels from the fender ALL the way to the back.. only a small gap in the middle... this means if an RA wants to look like an evo, you gotta replace the hood, front bumper, fenders, ALL doors, rear fenders... geez
Actually, the front doors and trunklid on the evo are the same as on the OZ. The roof is different since it's lighter but has the same shape. The RA has a different trunk but I believe the front doors are still the same. Oh, the side sills are different too owing to the different bodywork aft of the rear pillar.
