I was the same way, I thought I wanted black rims on a car, but got turned off by it when I actually saw it. Looks like no rims or missing hubcaps with a distance. That's why I started liking the polished lips. To me gunmetal is dark enough. I do like the bronze, but again, only with a polished lip. The "street" wheels on the previous 8 look great.

FYI. OK. Black wheels are on.... Looks amazing.
Additionally, I blacked out the taillights. OMG what a difference!... I highly reccomend this mod (cheap and easy). I should have pictures in the morning.

Here are a couple of pictures of my EVO with some 5Zigen FNO1-RC's and 235/40/17 Kuhmo 700 autox tires.
The pictures don't do the car justice, tough to get the contrast right with the white car and matte black wheels. I like them, the only thing that would be better is if they had a polished lip.
