Varis Carbon Fiber Side Skirts
This post is to show the public some more info about our side "diffusers" for the EVO 7 and EVO 8.
These side diffusers were developed using downforce technology that is virtually never seen in bodykits. It is simple, yet very effective air channeling technique. The undersides of each side diffuser channel air from directly behind the front wheels all the way back to a point before the rear wheels were it exits to each side of the vehicle. This technique not only gives the vehicle some much needed downforce, it also reduces drag by smoothing the airflow underneath the vehicle.
*We have track tested our EVO on Tsukuba Raceway in Chiba, Japan and have noted repeatable improvements in track times with the side diffusers on a completely stock vehicle compared to the same completely stock vehicle without them.
This set that we took pictures of is going on our U.S. demo vehicle, but we have another set or two on order from Japan.
