I'm looking for a simple non vented hood for the evo. Does oneone make such a thing? No fancy lines or nothing, just a simple hood.
You mean like the one on the EVO GTA? I agree, much more attractive.

No need to be a drama queen, the heat from the EVO won't melt your hood.
1) the hp difference isn't that much.
2) plenty of performance cars with turbos that run REALLY hot don't use hood vents, and i have yet to see or hear of anything a hood melting.
3) plenty of DSM guys using the 4g63 making MORE power than the EVO don't use hood vents, and they're fine
4) don't buy an evo? he already bought an evo smartie.
5) the STI runs almost as hot and it doesn't have a hood vent. Instead, the INTERCOOLER actually sits where all of that hot air is supposed to vent out from on the EVO
You'll be fine, don't listen to people that try to convince themselves that our hood serves more of a function than it really does. But, since the GT-A hood is for the 7, you'd have to get a 7 front bumper too.

All I have to say is 300zx Twin Turbo.
If you think the Evo hood vent is necessary, think again. All though it helps to releive the connectors and rubber parts of the engine bay of heat induced cracking and corrosion
