Why do people tend to think that you will get whatever you are spraying on the intercooler into the intake somehow? The system is presurized people! If there were holes in your intercooler your car wouldn't run. Much less make any kind of boost. You can spray cheese sauce on the damn thing and it won't get into the intake. It will clog the fins on the intercooler, but...

Oh.... Oh... what about the FACTORY water sprayer. Do you know what would happen if you got water in the intake??

Sorry I had to vent.. This seems to be a myth that is often brought up..

If you look at the description on MachEvo.com, the kit is good for like 40-50WHP. I can't remember the exact figure.

No... but I have been doing some research on it. This will probably be my next Mod. A lot of turbo Honda/Acura guys around here use it and they say it is quite a power gain. However this the only reason I am reluctant to get the kit. Don't want to look like the Damn hondas...

You can use either CO2 or N2O.. Of course CO2 is usually cheaper.

It is possible for the carbon dioxide, in gaseous form, to get sucked into the air intake at speed; since it won't burn, it could cause the car to stumble or lose power. I believe that is what they're thinking about.

Another huge myth. SOME water going into an engine will actually clean the cylinders/valves and scrub off any carbon deposits. It's when there's too much that the engine hydrolocks.
