i'm gettin' desperate! i need to know if cf on tarmac black will look alright, cuz my hood got messed up and i need to decide whether i should fix it now or just pop for a hood...

 

Do a search. I remember seeing a black EVO with carbon fiber hood. I think the guy's hood got damaged in a hail storm or sth.

 

read his post, he did search, but couldnt find any good pics.

 

I know what he wrote. I gave him a different criteria to search with when I said to search for hail damage, etc. Anyway, here's the thread that I remember looking at. You can probably PM the guy for more pics

You're right in the sense that it's the same guy who posted those two threads, but i think one was posted on March 4th and the other one on March 24th. I copied 'em here as both have pictures of what this guy is looking for.

I think the CF hoods look nice, but I think they have the least effect on a black car. I guess it wouldn't matter if they didn't know about this kind of stuff, but most folks would see a cf hood on a black car and probably think it's paint was faded. I think you should put on a reg stock hood. I have a dent in my hood too and I am thinking about going with CF too. Just think CF on al lthe other colors is much more dramatic.

 

I love that hood Where did you get it and how much? I got a tarmac Evo as well and am looking for a good CF hood

 

thanks, i remember finding that... but the pics weren't very good; i'm looking for better body shots from a farther distance and several angles in order to really get a good feel as to the look before i purchase...
