Look nice! Can you post some pics with the tires on them, and then on your evo??

no problem, I'm getting them mounted tomorrow. hopefully I have the time to throw them on the car and take them for a nice ride to give the tires a halfassed sort of heat cycle. then away they go until my next track day.

I'll post more pictures tomorrow.

How much did the set run you? What tires are you running?

Ok, got my first alignment yesturday. The guy who did the work was pretty cool and I got the -2 Front Camber I wanted. The owner was an asshead though and kept chasing me out of the shop, but in the end, I'm pretty happy.

Here's some shots of the rims mounted with "Sport Cups" and on the car. Its kinda sucks that I'm only gonna use them for track days cause they look pretty cool.

On August 10th at Pocono, I WILL kick some ***!!!

Its interesting how my post got moved to a "non-performance" forum. I was hoping to show a setup that might work well for racing, my car is far from Bling-Bling.

Are you running the stock suspension? If so, have you experienced any rubbing issues? How would the same setup work with 245/45/17 tires?

Yeah, I'm still stock on my suspension so I dont think rubbing is going to be an issue. 245/45/17 may have been a wiser choice, but Michelin dosnt make Pilot Cups in that size as of yet.

It was either 255/40/17 or 225/?/17. I took the car for a short ride to break the tires in and I did not experience any rubbing. I'll report again after my next track day.

I will say this, comparing the stock wheel and tire to my new setup. The new is about 1/2lb lighter each which is cool for going up 2 tire sizes and to a 17x9. So the steering and overall feel of the car dosnt feel sluggish in any way. The original crispness is still intact.

But, I'll know more after I hit the track.
