Well, we have been together for a long time, and pretty much any choices we make, we are both a part of. So I found her a supra a few years ago from a member of NEsupras (I'm the owner and moderator of the group), and I stole the car. He had to sell, and we just had to buy. She drove that for a few years, and then was driving down a street, when a tow truck backed out of a driveway, directly into the rear quarter panel of the car. The repair would have added up to more than the purchase price. To us, it was totaled. That car is waiting to be stripped. So then I found her an Audi V8 Quattro cheap. Great car, and only needed some minor work. Drove that for a few years, and then it was getting a bit tired. She is on her 7th car and just wanted a new one finally. I have had Supras for over 10 years, and was always in to sports cars. She loves hauling ***, but also luxury. We talked about options from an IS300, to a G35x, to the 350Z, an STI, a S4, or the Evo. She Wanted a 4 door, since we spend a lot of time with friends, and her niece. She loved the looks and potential of the IS300 ( supra engine ), but it was only RWD. The G35 and 350Z just did not attract her, they look boring. The STI was a good possibility since I told her they changed the headlights. We went to an auto show, and were not all that impressed with the STI in person. She saw the Lancer, and fell in auto love. A few months back we drove to a dealer that would actually let us test drive one, but it only had cloth. Still she loved the way the car handled, and was impressed with the power (although her supra had much more), and braking. We looked online at the sight and sound packages. She had to have the sunroof, and wanted ONLY the leather. Then we talked with our local dealer about the car. A down payment was supplied for a black on black sight and sound packaged evo 8. We were told we would have the car in 30 days. After about 25 the dealer called, and said that one exactly like the car she wanted was shipped ( in the new shipment) to the US, but they were not releasing it from cali. So, now I am pissed. We wasted most of a month waiting on the dealer. So, I called all over the place looking for one myself. Found 8 in NJ, 3 in CT, and 4 in MA. Then I called the other BIG dealers in NY, and basically told them, if you find me a black on black leather 04 evo with less than 25 miles you get the money. The problem was if this car was not black, she did not want it, we would have been looking at the IS300, and S4 again. We also filed a complaint with Mitsubishi about the local jerk around dealer. After many talks with the dealers, two came forward with the possibility of getting one......The local dealer and another. Only now the price is up, thanks ALOT local dealer for waiting on who knows F**KING what. I said, ok, the price goes up? FINE, I want all these add ons for free ( thinking at least at cost), they say humbled "oh ok". Booyaa. It came in on August 5th 2004, I stopped by to take a look before the buffed it out, and made sure they were not putting the front plate on the car (we already told them if it was on, we were not buying the car), and I talked with them about removing the Lancer Evo badge before they buffed the car. So Pick-up was the next day, and she was very happy. The rims I ordered already were waiting at my house, the JDM tails were on the way to hers. Everyone at the dealer is gawking the car, and the idea of the 19s, it was so funny. Droolers all over. And damn, this is my girls car, haha. She always loved my style in cars, I just never thought she would actually have something so badass. This is a blessing, she’s happy, and after our struggle with the dealers, and the hunt, we are even closer now.

We also have that new wonderful warranty, and free services for quite some time.

What a struggle, but after all is said, and done, we can say we are happy with the purchase. For the money it is a wonderful car. We can not wait until the break-in period is over, heh. Wish us luck, this is out first Mistu out of many of cars we have owned ( many toyotas and audis).

Cheers Evo peeps,

They are a factory upgrade and were in the trunk when we picked the car up. As long as the lower control arm is the same part in 03 as 04, meaning the sway bar attaches in the SAME place, with the same holes and same size bolts.... the 04 air guides will work.

The air guide brackets mount on top of the sway bar bracket, with the stock bolts going through them both.

The parts list from the dealer:

(1) RH air guide
(1) LH air guide
(2) air guide brackets
(4) bolts ( to bolt the air guides to the brakets)

^^^ Ditto' as a matter of fact, SSR GT3's are beautiful rims that would be impossible to see in the ghetto considering no one would be able to afford them...and cen you send me a pic of the car without the MA70.com and MsBoost on it? I'd love to have a new wallpaper...
