In-car PC

Working on a car PC for Multimedia, GPS, Datalogging, and Digital Gauges. Still working on a few bugs, but managed to snap a few pics. This was a better alternative than running a laptop. Let me know what you guys think.

Pretty cool.

I have a compact laptop that would make a great in-car PC. It just needs an in-car mounted LCD screen and wireless keyboard and mouse.

Try this site www.digitalww.com. He is out of the in dash housings as of now but should be in this week.

Also, www.logicsupply.com has everything you need as well. I am currently waiting on my order as I got the 1.2gig mainboard and an opus power supply which were on backorder until the end of this week.

BTW, the pics look great and it's nice to see some pics with data logging info. to see how it would look on a 7" screen. I might go a step further in the future and get rid of the hole dash cluster and put 2 7" screens back there in a custom housing or something and use a AEM EMS digital dash for speed, rpm, etc. Many ideas since these computers can be mounted under the seat w/o a problem and are very versitile.

Looks nice!
You know what would suck... if your hand would slip off the shift knob going into 3rd and you punch the screen

yeah it's a touchscreen too, so that would suck on numerous accounts.

I always thought it would be cool to have a PC in your car, but then you have to worry about crime . Nice background though, I use it for my computers too. Good work Bobby!
