You know, my paint came off on its own from heat and washing it I guess. I think it looks better than black.

I'm near Toms River. Those pics were taken at Winding River Park.

That's not the natural metal on your car, is it? Mine was a tin color after the paint came off, looked horrible.

 

wait a second... that's what it looks like after your paint came off followed with a little cleanup?

 

it might be the lighting... either way, i'm going to be getting chrome or aluminum as you did... whatever it takes to solidly match that emblem.

 

Yes, and little is an understatement. Just used a handsprayer at a car wash. Never removed the cover, no polishing, no painting etc. It just started coming off one day and within a week, it looked great.

I should mention, I drive long distance quite often, so maybe the long driving, heat as mentioned before, caused this.

Wow, that's crazy yourc came that clean. When the paint came off of mine it was a brown tin color, I painted over it with the AL colored paint.
