Blackend Evo interior... thoughts?

So, I was bored with the 2 tone evo interior, and thought it would look a lot nicer all black... Let me know what you think.....

I like it. Kind of makes me think I should've done this when I had the pillars and headliner out to fix the sunroof. Nice job!

markymark1082 Mar 20, 2009 06:16 PM

Looks good.

MR_Lance Mar 20, 2009 06:22 PM

hmmm i was thinking about doing this just today... beat me to it. did you use the same paint as in the how-to that is posted, believe it was dupli-color for vinyl, flat black.

kasper618 Mar 20, 2009 06:24 PM

Actually, I used a product made by SEM, the color is Landau Black. It's an awesome paint, it's flexible and bonds to plastics. 13 bucks a can tho :(

Looks awesome! I might do this. Was it fairly easy?

kasper618 Mar 20, 2009 06:28 PM

Yeah, it was really easy, none of the panels are too tough to get off. And we recloth headliners where I work so that wasn't bad. I do stand by that paint I use, it's quality stuff. The whole job was done in one sitting, and took about 3 hours...

DR EVO_38 Mar 20, 2009 06:30 PM

I like it good job. looks really clean

kasper618 Mar 20, 2009 06:33 PM

Not quite an evo, but another shot of some work I did on an interior with that paint...

nice im almost done with mine! how is the paint holding up around the seatbelt sliders and stuff?

kasper618 Mar 20, 2009 06:36 PM

The paint is really durable if you let it dry for a few hours before using the belt. The seatbelt sliders I used the sem clearcoat on for added durability

idriveanevo Mar 20, 2009 06:38 PM

how did you paint the sunroof cover? i painted mine but it was a major PITA

kasper618 Mar 20, 2009 06:39 PM

Actually, I took it out, and reclothed it with the same material as the headliner.
