widest tire on a 17x9 with a drop?

i was thinking of getting the widest tires possible that wont cause rubbing with either the stechs or htechs. could a 275 work or would it be to much. i have the 5zigen 17x9s and i want to go overkill but i dont want to roll the fenders. any one have experience with big tires.

The widest you'll be able to use without rubbing or fender roll are 255/40's

I'd be surprised if you could fit 275s with the stock front struts. You'd also need tons of negative camber to keep them tucked in under the front fenders.
