Question about tires and balance...
Hello,
A couple months ago I hit a curb at speed and destroyed two tires. I replaced one of them with a brand new ADVAN and the other with a used one with about 60% tread left that came with the used wheel I had to get to replace the bent one. Both of these tires are on the left side, currently. For a while now I have noticed how the car does not feel as balanced and confident in the corners anymore. It doesn't have that razor-sharp turn-in it used to. When I really push it, I can really feel the back end wanting to come out. Do you guys think that this is because of the different amounts of tread on my tires? Would rotating the tires help? Or should I just get new tires as soon as possible? I would like to get a new set of Falken Azenis but I just can't afford to right now, especially since my car only has 4500 miles on it. I appreciate the help guys.

If you're feeling your steering wheel tremor at speeds in excess of like.. 60mph, you should think about new tires. Uneven tread leads to a bunch of balancing, handling, and tremoring situations, well, as far as FWD cars go. BTW, nice avatar, haha. =p
To start, its best you put the two newest tires on the same axel rather than side of the car. You don't want the differentials turning at different rates which is what's happening now with one new tire on one side and a half worn on the other. Over time this can ruin your drive train. Putting them on the same axel will also help your handling problem.
first off u have an all wheel drive car that is very sensative to different tread depths, you need to go buy four new tires immediately unless u want to be replacing a differential or even the transmission. I work in a tire shop so I deal w/ this stuff all the time so i do know what i am talking about. Trust me the company i work for has had to replace 2 transmissions in awd audis before they made it a policy to replace all for on an awd vehicle
