Looks good!

I picked these up a little while ago, but haven't had the time to install them. I think they'll hold me over quite well until I can get a set of coilovers.

I don't think the springs are too low. I think they are about as good as you are going to get with springs. Remember, Hotchkis has been in business for a while making and selling suspension components to the domestic crowd. They are very popular with them. The science of suspension does not change due to a car manufacturer being domestic or foreign. I really think Hotchkis does a good job at what they do.

EVOTEXS.... It looks great... I think that is the perfect drop... Are you having any issues or has it been smooth sailing so far...

Oh man everything has been great. No funny noises or characteristics. No sqeaks or anything. I got my alignment this morning at 8 am (OMG that's too early on a Sat. after a late Fri) and my specs are:

Front:
-1.35 Camber
.00 Toe

Rear:
-.90 Camber
.01 Toe

Everything seems really good. However, since the alignment I just drive it home and put it in the garage so I can't really review the alignment yet.

I haven't driven the car yet. It's been raining and this is a fair weather automobile for me and it is also not a daily driver or A to B car so I only drive it to work occasionally. However, the weather is still crap around here so it's tucked safely away in the garage. I will update ASAP. Thanks, guys.

edit: I guess I can say that the car still handles very well. It felt planted and secure on the highway and it is great around corners. However, this was just on the way home from the alignment shop. Either way, these springs do the trick very well and are a great price.

I like it. Not crazy low like some springs that are offered for our cars. I wonder how theyd feel on a spirited drive on some curvy mountain roads, or better yet autocross or roadcourse.

Here is a little spread sheet on the spring rates and the bounce in the suspension.

Stock Front Spring Rate 200LBS Rear Rate 270LBS Drop Front Stock Rear Stock

Tein STECH Front Spring Rate 212LBS Rear Rate 291LBS Drop Front 2inch Rear .9"

Tein HTECH Front Spring Rate 196LBS Rear Rate 268LBS Drop Front 1.4inch Rear .3"

Eibach Front Spring Rate 230-240 Progressive rate Rear Rate 310.5-324 Progressive Rate Drop Front 1.2inch Rear 1"

Hotchkis Front Spring Rate 195LBS Rear Rate 275LBS Drop Front 1.5inch Rear 1"

Ride Report:

Stock Springs over power the stock shock valving causing a slight bounce in the Suspension. This slightly upsets the control of the car.

Tein Stech Increases the spring rate over stock causing an increase in bounce, decreasing over handling from stock.

Tein Htech lowers spring rate, eliminates bounce in suspension and also increases ride quality but lowers handling ability very slightly.

Eibach Increases spring rate causing an increase in bounce and decrease in handling from stock.

Hotchkis decreases front spring rate and raises in the rear eliminating bounce and increases handling and ride quality over stock.
