Refinish MR Wheels

I recently purchased a set of MR wheels for my summer set. I am not trying to make my car look like an MR, I just like quality, forged, light weight, strong BBS wheels. Unfortunately one of the wheels is a little chipped and so I was thinking of refinishing them. I think they would look really nice in a silver finish similar to the stock Enkies, or possibly gunmetal.

If anyone has already done this, please post some pics!

I say go for it. Make them just a regular silver. I'd pay to see them in bronze, but not all people like bronze on a silver car.

If you do gunmetal they'll come out looking exactly like they started.

At 900 a rim, I'd leave them alone.

I guess by gunmetal I was thinking a "smoked" or "satin" look. I just didn't describe it well.

I like the look of the darker MR wheel on silver.

One of my concerns; I don't want to devalue them too much.

Did you buy them brand new? If so get it replaced. If bought used, just fix the chip. I think the original color looks good. Well, on the MR anyway.

If you find the right shop you can have them chrome or nickle plated, powder coated, or even annodized for not that much.

I know guys who are into their Hogs that do that stuff all the time.
