I'm not one to double post, but I dont seem to be getting much of a response in the suspension section, so I guess I'll ask ehre.

I'm running Hotchkis springs (1.5"/1.0") on my car right now w/stock enkei's. By the end of the month I'll have 18x8.5 offset 30 LE-37T wheels with some Kumho MX 245/40/18

Do you guys think this will be a good combination of wheel/tire as far as rubbing is concerned?

For those with 18" wheels and springs, what tire size do you currently have and do you have issues?

You will have no issues with rubbing with that setup. I am currently running 18x9 wheels with 255/35's and the car is slammed with sustec pros and I have no probs...

I had 245/40's on my CE's and it would rub when turned all the way. That was before it was lowered. I have 235's now and don't have any problems with S-Tech's. My offest is 30mm I think.

 

I got 18 /8.5 TE37 volks with S-Techs they rub alittle inside on the splash gaurd but thats it.

 

18x8.5 30mm TE37 w 255/35 Pirelli Corsas running RRE JIC's and -2.5 in camber - some rubbing in the rear fender lips - rolled them with a baseball bat, ok now.

 

how much will the sidewall height be a factor when it comes to rubbing? i'm hearing that 245/40/18 will be fine, but how about 245/45/18???

is that +5% going to make much of a difference?
