Those with S-techs, how badly is the shock compromised?

I am thinking of picking up some Tein S-tech springs and I am just curious as to what the stock struts/shocks will think of that setup. I know it lowers the car fairly substantially and I was just curious as to the life-span of the stock shocks and what people usually upgrade to once they have blown. TIA guys.

I have been using the tein S-TEC for about 29,000 miles no problem so far with struts ,seems to handle and ride comparable to stock.
