Need info on 17x7 winter wheels...

First post on evolutionm.net.... looks like there is alot of knowledge to be shared here. So here's the query, after searching high and low for rims that I like (not that might actually be the right size) one of my top choices is the new Enkei Evo5. It only comes in 17x7, and I didn't find the offset. So will a 17x7 work with a set of 225 or 235/45 R17 BFG KDWS tires, and what offset will I need, whether I get that wheel or not?

Welcome! The narrowest wheel we had was a 17x7.5 but its been discontinued. Haven't seen many wheels that narrow for the EVO. I would contact someone who carries Enkei, or them directly, and have the fit confirmed.

Thanks Neal,
Only looking that narrow because its a tire for Idaho's snowy season. My other summer choice I think is going to be a Work Emotion CR 17x8, and I know that fits. If you find out anything more let me know.

I have the Enkei RS-5s in 17 x 7.5 with stock size Falken Zeix 512s tires. Good combo.. no problems in winter. The wheels fit.. but with a spacer. Not a big deal, but alot of people seem to have problems with spacers. Dont' really know why.

What price range you looking at? Found some three piece 16's from www.imagewheels.co.uk. I think they're like $1,900.00 to my door. Got them on order thru aaroadracing.com out of Phoenix. 1-877-flat out. Ask for Martin. I ordered 16X5.5. Billet centers in the BL rim. The others that will fit are the billet 35, 47 and 54. Inside wheel clearance on a 16 is 390mm. Evo needs around 362mm.
Compomotive does make a 17X7. Seems like they were about $1,400.00. Had some on order from them for two months and finally gave up before the snow melted.
