Tein basics, upgrade or downgrade for EVO

Im considering purchasing these.

ANyone have them and/or have experience with them?

What are your thoughts, good or bad. Please post.

Just to give a frame of reference, some STi guys that I autocross with tried the Tein SS kit and were disappointed with the stiffness- said it felt stock, at best, even at full hard dampers. the basics are like the SS, but at the "6" hardness setting (instead of "0" which is full hard). People that go with the Flex dampers seem to think they're quite the improvement.

i would say upgrade,but there are better coil-overs out there for just a little bit more of cash.

you didnt go basic with a choice in cars.....why go basic on the coilovers? Good ones do cost a little bit more (anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand more) but you get what you pay for

i dont know, from what i've read, they're not as good as stock...

Look good, but stick with coilovers or stock springs with stock struts for maintaining strut valving.

if you go with tein i would go with the tein flex coilovers. that's what i was going to get but went with cusco zero 2r instead.
