Suspension clunking.. help!
I bought an evo that had a set of JIC FLT A-2s on it. They came with the tools, but not the instructions. I went to adjust the front dampening, and assumed it was adjusted from the top, even though I now know it's from the bottom. I took off the little rubber plug from the top as I assumed it was adjusted underneath. When I found there was nothing there I went to put the plug back and I got shot with gas, and heard a pssht sound for a second, then the plug went on. Since then I've been hearing these really loud clunking noises from the shock that this happened to when I go over big bumps. Could this really be a result of that little mistake? Any help is appreciated.
If everything is tight you might want to take it to the dealership or a mechanic. I just took my stock Evo in for a clunking from the front driverside and it was a lower ball joint fixed under warranty. You might wanna have them check your car for this problem.
