Strut bar weights

I was wondering what the weight differance is between the Cusco front/rear strut bars compared to the Cusco Titanium bars. Is it a significant differances, like is it worth the money, or is the price of titanium bars simply for a little bit lighter, but mroe for the Bling!

well I got the carbon fiber ones. And I picked them up and they felt like feathers. Maybe the weight of a water bottle. So I dont know if titanium is that much lighter.

The cusco titnaium is light as hell, cant tell theres anything in the box when you get it. Though the bar is light, I think most buy it for its looks(really clean). There really is no need to change the stock bar as it is very functional.

dude,
I have the front and rear DC ti bars and they'll probably float on water! That's light - like 2 lbs each! Not just bling....

You can get DC sports Titanium bars from Injected Performance. They have them in stock and have them at a good deal.

i know the TI bars are lighter, but for the weight savings, is it worth the money over a normal bar for just a daily driven car not planning on AutoX or anything, just looking to stiffen her up!!

I don't think any aftermarket bar would beat the stock bar stiffness.

guys, in terms of cost DC bars costs almost as cheap as non - ti bars!

I paid 209 and 239 for front and rears, weird that rears cost more.

So why not get the ti !

Not sure about the bars you are talking about but Ti is some of the strongest metal.

I don't think it's really going to matter if you have a Ti v.s. an Al bar as far as strength.

Since the main stresses are going to be in compression and tension, neither a Ti or Al is going to deform much at the loads a strut bar is going to see.

yes...

i have a dc sports for sale in the classifieds and i'll match that price above quoted (shipped).

ti bars are much lighter... if you compare to your stocker, you lose almost 8 pounds. the box it comes in... plus the bar... is lighter than the stock bar.

the aluminum bars weigh close to stock.

btw... the cusco ti is a piece. besides the cool gauge pods it has it's pretty much worthless. cuz the ends where the bar connects to the tower rings is a flimsy connection. if you yank it up and down it'll move! the dc sports is much better design, the connection at the tower is triagulated. both bars (front and rear) are very good designs. now i just wish it didn't say dc sports on it :[
