newbie question help plz

i am getting confused after doing a search on oem rotors.
ppl are saying that the oem rotors are not made by Brembo is this true??

lastly, i know this is a beaten topic.....but i need to get new rotors, should i stay with oem or get some rotora, project mu, ap, etc. i just need some nice rotors for my daily driver.

My understanding is that the oem rotors are brembo rotors. As far as new rotors go, what are your plans for them? If its simply for daily driving and no track time, probably any rotor is fine. Power slot makes some pretty inexpensive rotors for the evo. Have you thought about turning your current rotors? Also , you can often times find stock rotors that others are getting rid of (as they upgrade their rotors) for pretty cheap.

what do you mean by loud? ie brake squeal? did you replace the pads and is that whats making the noise?

Hawk break pads are performance pads made to withstand a lot of heat. They will generally squeal less when they heat up, but will probably always squeal just from daily driving.

^^ Yeah I have hawk pads on my car and they squeal now and then just driving through the parking lot at the grocery store, as an example. As far as rotors go, I put a set of Stillen cross drilled and slotted on front and rear, and they are great for minor track and daily use.
