RGIIs with GTR face...is it a good setup for street or is it just for show?

They are pretty large and I am willing to compensate the tire patch with more power..but is the large size really necessary?

I love those rims, but I wonder if they are for show purposes mainly?

A GTR face wheel is designed to keep a given width for the wheel but use a certain offset to push the wheel out away from the body farther.

Whether this fits someone's performance or aesthetic requirements are all subjective things that you will need to decide upon based on your requirements for both looks and performance.

Suspension Clearance
Fender Clearance
Fender Liner Clearance
Looks

Only you can find a combination that fits all of your needs. If the GTR face wheels fit within your requirements, get them.
