question about tool for pistons on changing brake pads..
Hopefully this link will work.I saw this on this site already.http://www.zdmak.com/wbstore/main.as...K-BRK-J&CTMP=1
wow, you don't need anything, use the stock pads. With can jacked up and wheels off, a full brake swap (rotors and pads) is a 35-40 minute job, no rush. Takes longer to jack it up, secure it and get ready than it does to actually do the work, i don't mind it at all.
ummm, I am not a particularly strong guy, but I just used my hands. Yeah, just push hard and be patient and the pistons will slowly draw back into the caliper. The great thing about using your hands is nothing gets scratched, no o-rings get damaged,no brake fluid leaks on anything, it just works.
I always pull my calipers off when doing brakes, which some people don't like to do, but I also clean them at the same time. Maybe if it was just a track car I wouldn't care, but I like to keep it looking as good as possible and taking time to do it right.
