BFG G-force TA KDW

Just thought I would add a little review.

I managed to get 17100 miles out the stock ADVANS on the front. Needing two new tires quick (for a road trip) I decided to buy two BFG G-force TA KDW. They have a 300 tread wear rating. The pattern looks almost identical to stock.

This weekend I managed to put 600 miles on them. I drove from Vegas to Norwalk. You know how those crazy Cali drivers are out there on the I-15. In any event. I love the tires. Pulling onto the highways on some of those decreasing radius on-ramps and I never experienced the oversteer that I was used to. That could have been due to fresh rubber though....

Weaving in and out of traffic at 90mph was smooth. The braking was still as consitent as I expected. The highway noise I am unable to comment on, I had the windows down.

But for $144.00 from Tire Rack, they are a great tire. I cant wait to replace the back two in the next month or so.

Running different tires and/or tread depths is NOT good.

They are a great performer for the price, glad you like them. You should get a lot nicer ride and longer life from that tire. As RSGuy said though, its really best to get a couple more on there so they all match. Nice avatar

Neal - I'm currently runing pilot sport ps2's on the street and RA-1's on the track. I need a new set of street tires, and would like ones that can double as rain tires at the track. I dont want to shell out the cash for another set of PS2's, what do you think about kdw2's for this purpose?

any other reccomendations?

KDW2 is an awesome tire for wet and dry grip. Looks pretty wicked too. Its loud loud loud, but if that dosen't bother you then its no big deal. Will prob have to run a larger size since they are n/a in the oem size.

I have purchased both the G-force KDW and KDWS tires for my Eclipse and think they are two of the best tires I have ever driven on. The traction coupled with the durability ( 300 tread wear ) is almost impossible to beat. I fully intend to replace the tires on my EVO IX with BFG's as soon as I get it. The breaking point for traction on them is very smooth and makes you feel confident on both dry and wet surfaces. Also if you want to find a good deal on them, believe it or not Costco carries a full line of BFG tires for very competitive prices.

I got the KWD2 and indeed they are amazing tires I don't think they are loud at all, i've driven from Jacksonville to Miami about 6 times on them now and they haven't bothered me at all or my passengers

I am aware....yes the different tire diameters do mess with the LSD....as I said, I needed them in a hurry for a road trip and fully intend to replace the reare two tires, which also were no where near as worn as the front set....

Are these the tires that Vishu evo used during the 1 lap of America? BTW how do you get 17100 miles outta the stock tires? I have 10k on them now and they are like bald bald. and I already flipped them. 2 times.

no they are not the same tires as the vishnu evo. I forget which ones were on that car....same family of tires, go to BFG web page and it tells you....its the much softer tire from that line.

as far as 17000...I dont know. I rotated them once. They really werent bad, just the inside shoulder on the right side was bald. The rest of the tire, including my back ones arent even at the minimum wear mark yet.

I drive a lot of highway. I like to corner fast and often get the car into power drifts coming out of turns as well as pushing the front end in tight corners, so I dont know wh I got so many miles out of them. Probably the highway driving then
