Widest Tire

Does anybody know what the widest tire you can put on an evo?

You might have better luck in the Evo wheels, tires, brakes, and suspension section.

I put 255s on with no problem. It was lowered with Tanabe's too. I don't think 265s will fit though...

Supposedly you can fit a 285/30/18 tire. 18x10 front 25 offset, 18x9.5 rear 35 offset. That setup may hit the stock struts, fitment hasn't been verified. Tire to strut clearance could be an issue depending on what struts you are using. That's what I read here anyways, so it could be completely wrong.. but i think it might work.

not for wussys. rolling the fenders would be a must
