17X9 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2.. offset?

I was trying to get an fq400 wheels project going on buy it doesnt look like there is enough intrest ( still going to order the oem center caps for these wheels). Im thinking about having a set of Bronze Pro Race 1.2s from team dynamics shipped from england in their new 17x9 layout.. They are asking me what offset I want.. This is a pretty flat faced wheel, similiar to the MR BBS wheels. Anybody have an idea of a safe offset I can get away with? Should I stagger the front to back? or would that just be a pain in the *** since i would have to remount the tires to rotate them..

I think they offer them in +35. Which should work. I'd say from +30 to +35 as long as it clears the front caliper.

I've looked at those wheels before. Yeah the weds do fit at +35 however some of the enkei's don't and need a spacer. Have you tried to ask TDR UK if they fit, they should be able to provide the info as their wheels(17x8) is a pretty popular wheel for UK evos.

hmm.. can they do some kinda of simply calculation or measurement for adding to the offset used on the 17x8 (which is oem for the fq series) and adjusting it for the 17x9?

They dont list them.. there are no 17x9s Pro Race 1.2s in the evo bolt pattern in the USA.. they have them for BMW, however they have these wheels in the UK and they just need to be shipped over... I think I need to get in contact with team dynamics in the UK since they would have the experience with what would work on the evo.. TDUSA was asking me what offset.

You think the +37 would work?

I already figured I could produce 10 fq400 replica wheels with center caps in gloss black for 1K a set in 17x8.. the wheel weighs almost 20lbs..however it should be a very sturdy piece ( great for daily driving) considering its oem in england. The 17x9s will run 250 a piece and I would imagine around 20 lbs.

17x9 TDR

I guess all forums suffer from the same thing: questions without answers.
In this case we don’t even have any answers on what the correct offset should be. It is surprising to me that nobody was able to figure at least that out. Especially on a set of wheels like these that offers probably the most room for brakes out there so that shouldn’t be an issue. Hell you could shove a set of Stoptech 355x32mm (that would be 14” brakes) if you go with the correct offset. Now how many other wheels can do that?
I’m getting these wheels for our customers that are running DSMs and I was playing with the EVO 355mm brakes from Stoptech and I was surprised to see those under the wheels. Well maybe not really surprised knowing that these wheels are racing wheels designed to fit FWD platform based cars that also need big brakes like the BTCC and ETCC cars which BTW are running 345mm 6 pot brakes in the front.
While I highly recommend you guys to support your vendors here, you can read some more on the subject here.

we tend to have to run 18's to clear our 355 stoptech/cbrd brakes
