Will They Rub ???
Hey i was looking for to put some 18X9 Work Meister EVO SR2 18x9.0 Rims on my EVO ( the ones on the Lancer Shop website ) . Or lets say that i am saving for some , they have a hefty $2750.00 just for the rims ( i imagine, they didn't mentions tires ). Before i make the decision to go through with such a major purchase i was wondering if i will have any problems with as far as fitment on my car. Will they rub on the fender or the strut, other post didn't really say. Does anyone have any 18X9's on their vehicle ? And can someone please explain what people mean by offset ? I DO NOT want my rims sticking out past my wheel well like i am some 1980's gangbanger. I want them to fit flush, like stock. Any help or venders out there with any experience on this sort of fitting ?
I replied to your other post on offset. Now that I see what you're shopping for, just want to remind you to consider wheel weight. Not sure what kind of driving you do, but most folks race on 17's because of the low unsprung weight. Works wheels are tough, but aren't known for being light. The wheel you're looking at could be over 20lbs. Stock wheels on an EVO are around 18lbs. So, for handling and response, you'd be going the wrong direction. For that price you can have a set of Volks, very light even at 18"'s and one of the best wheels made. If you are looking for bling to cruise, then you'll be just fine with 19's from Work.
