STI Brembos on Evo?

Will the STI Brembos fit on a Evo? A friend and I were thinking of swapping out calipers to be a little differant. The only thing differant i noticed is that the fronts are swapped, as in the bracket is in the front of the rotor on the evo and on the rear side of the front rotor on the STI.... Has any one tried this or just trye trial and error?
Thanks, Nick

i am willing to bet that you will be able to swap them but you will need to contact BREMBO to get the right brackets. most brembo kits share alot of parts in common and the evvo and sti brakes are very similar. your best bet would be to contact brembo and they wiill tell you what you need to make it work. Now, i really don't understand why you would want to do that just to be different. the brakees on the EVO are amazing and most of the high end cars uses red brembos (porsche, ferrari etc..) i say just keep the evo brakes.

this would be a BAADD idea

the piston sizes are VERY different on the STI and it would throw your brake bias way out of spec.

EVO brembos are bigger than the STI's + the bolts don't line up so special adapters are needed.

I had this idea when a friend with an 05 CGM STi mentioned it. The gold calipers on his gray matches about as crappily as the red calipers on my blue. Sounds like it's not too smart though.

I'll still bump it to see if anyone has attempted it.........
