Evo8 = 9.3 kg = 20.5029904 pounds
Evo9 = 9.15 kg = 20.172297 pounds
MR = 8.05 kg = 17.7472121 pounds

Great information but from what I know, the Evo 9 phamflet shows that the Evo 9 enkei rims were 1.32LBS lighter than the previous rims on the regular EVO 8.

The difference on weight between the regular EVO8 rims and the EVO8 mr is correct, they are 2.8 lbs lighter.

The Evo 9 rim should be around 19.7LBS.

Directly from the Mitsubishi dealer(internet, news, tv) and directly from the advertizing packages at the dealer.

COCO,

the EVO 9 wheels are not forged, the MR wheels are forged. BBS rims are also mcuh more expensive in the market.

I weighed my stock enkeis, and they were around 21lbs.

I also weighed my 17x9 volks, and they are around 15lbs.

Everything that I've found on the net says that the Evo 9 wheels weigh 5 ounces or 0.15 kg or 0.33 lbs less than the Evo 8 wheels. Only one source (SCC mag) says that the Evo 9s are 1.3 lbs lighter than the Evo 8s.

But another twist to it all is the official press release from Mitsu says that the Evo 9's are lighter than the "Evo VIII MR" wheels by 0.15 kg's. I think this is actually a mistake and they meant to leave out the "MR".

http://media.mitsubishi-motors.com/p...etail1228.html

And this JDM Mitsu literature mentions something about 0.6kg. Although I can't read Japanese it may be saying that each wheel is lighter by 0.6kg because if you divide that by 4 wheels you get the magical 0.15kg that is being thrown around everywhere except it was thought to be per wheel but its really a TOTAL of all 4 wheels.

zstryder should get credit for finding this info out since he did most of the leg work.
