Goodyear Eagles for $128

I am looking for tires and noticed that Tire Rack is selling these:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....1=yes&place=10

seems like a great deal, but I heard that the EVO guys hate this tire!

You need a stiff sidewall for a replacement tire for the Evo. The UK Evo owners will have more insight into what to do with seeing as the Advan is not avail. over there.

Great idea I can jump over to the UK Evo club site. They do seem to ignore Yankee's
on their Forum.

I had this tire for a year and love it. It has terrific grip on dry or wet roads. The sidewalls are also plenty stiff for decent handling. It only used about 10% of the tread in the year I had it.

I don't see why would evo owners hate this tire. Yes, they don't have the side wall stiffness compare with the Advans, but the GS D3 is a much better tire overall as far as max perf. tires go.

i just replaced my advans with the goodyear too, and i already noticed the turn in isn't as sharp as before, but just a touch, but overall the ride seems more comfortable, handling is still very good, noise is down and the price was great($128 per), plus they should last much longer. For an everyday tire replacement, it's definitely worth considering. You can put the extra $100 or so towards buying some Corsa or RA-1s
